Aspera On Demand for Microsoft Azure

Aspera On Demand for Microsoft Azure is a product offering that provides access to Aspera’s patented FASP® high-speed transfer software and the Microsoft Azure cloud platform as part of an online usage-based subscription, offered as a service through the Microsoft Azure Store.

The service runs Aspera transfer server software in the Microsoft Azure cloud, providing a secure, high-speed file transfer platform for large data sets, including transfers to and from Microsoft Azure BLOB storage. The platform supports Aspera FASP transfers with any standard Aspera server (Enterprise Server or Connect Server), Aspera client (Client, Point-to-point or Embedded), and Connect browser plug-in client.

In order to transfer with the platform, the end user needs a licensed Aspera server or client (version 2.7.8+), or 3rd parties may elect to integrate the transfer platform in their applications using the Aspera APIs and provide support for the Aspera Connect browser plug-in (version 2.7.8+), or an Aspera mobile client.
